Portraits

We finally went and got some portraits done of London. We had really been behind and meant to do it when she turned one...that didn't happen. So, now she's 16 months old and when Jessica told us about Portrait Innovations--well, we had to go and check it out. First off, they did a really good job... Miss. London on the other hand had other plans. They have this little play area in the waiting area and she was having a good time playing with Lego's with all the other little kids. When it was her turn to go and take pictures, well, she just wasn't having it. They first started off by trying to put her in a chair, which she didn't want to do. She cried and tried so hard to get back to those other kids having so much fun without her. We tried a monkey, a ball, a boa, and of course making the stupidest faces for her but nothing worked. Thankfully, my parents were there, and my mom helped out a lot. We got a few pictures of her. They apparently do 4 different backgrounds but we only got through one. I am kind of glad because of just the 27 pictures they took, it was hard to narrow it down to 9. If I had other backgrounds to choose from...well, I still might be there trying to decide. That was quite exhausting, but the ladies there told us that toddlers are so difficult to take pictures of until they turn about 3. They just don't want to sit still. So, all you mom's out there with those still and quiet little babies who sit patiently and take those sweet pics...watch out, your time is coming--with the exception of the Widmers. I think they already got a little taste of what we went through! Who knows when we'll get up enough courage to try it again! I posted a few, and she looks so old in some of them...it makes me a little sad. They just grow too fast.

I would have never known that the day was a stressful one based on the pictures! She looks like she's having the best time. They turned out perfect. But I am secretly glad she gives you a hard time every now and then!!

I love portrait innovations! They are so cheap and the pictures turn out really great. Not to mention that the place is so kid friendly. We are getting Deron's 1 year pics done this week there! I hope they turn out as cute as London's!
