Performances

If feels like all we have been doing is going to Christmas performances. The girls have been busy practicing and getting ready to show us what they have been working so hard on! They go to choir on Wednesday evenings and they both had little Christmas concerts. Lily was the first to perform! It was her first time. I had no idea how she would do? Would she stand on stage and cry, or sing, or run to us, or stare at us and not sing a word? She walked in with her little choir class and got right on stage. She turned around, found us in the sea of flashes, and waved. She looked absoutely precious....I must say! When the music started, Lily sang! She knew all the words (she better though, we've been singing these songs in the car since September!) and she got most of the motions. All the kids were so cute and it definitely got me in the Christmas spirit!

We then headed over to see London perform. This year she was in the main sanctuary. The kids are in Kindergarten through 6th grade and there are a ton of them in choir. It was a little overwhelming. We got good seats but the kids sing in the back of the stage so it was hard seeing them. It took us forever to even find London.

Found her!

The concert lasted about an hour. It was long. There were solo parts, acting scenes, and all things in between. London got tired. She yawned, got distracted, and acted bored towards the end. It's a lot for a little Kindergartener.
Last week Lily had a Happy Birthday Jesus Party at her preschool. It started out with a few songs in the chapel.

Is that really a peace sign?

After all the singing, we headed to her classroom where the real party started! The kids had fruit, pretzels, and of course cookies!

I am very thankful for our church and all that it offers for my girls!

Just now catching up on your blog! (So sorry I'm so behind!) But I'm laughing at the peace sign from that little Asian boy. It is a VERY Asian thing to give peace signs during picture taking. Almost all the shots my SIL from Japan posts, has one of her 3 boys doing a peace sign. Or her, or my brother. Don't know why...but it's a culture thing. ;-)
