Sock Hop

I love our church for a million reasons. I am blessed to attend a church that serves, loves, worships, and reaches out the way The Heights does. I love the kids program and all that it has to offer. Our church put on a Father Daughter Sock Hop a few weeks ago and London and J went. London had no idea what a sock hop was so we had to do some research together. We ordered her a hot pink poodle skirt complete with a shirt and a scarf. She was super excited!

Yes, it was freezing and yes, I made her pose to take some pics.

Dad was running a little late, so we met up, and I dropped her off. They headed to dinner with some friends and then went to the sock hop where they danced, had a hula hoop contest, did the limbo, and had ice cream! She came home exhausted but had a fun time with one of her biggest fans--her daddy!

Meanwhile, I took the other little lady out to dinner. She picked Chick-Fil-A and that helped to cheer her up because she really couldn't understand why she didn't have a poodle skirt and why she couldn't go with dad to a dance. But the french fries took her mind off all that real quick.

It was a late night for London. They both came home exhausted. But she told me everything they did and then she passed right out! So glad they got to have a fun night together!
