Oh no! A gecko!

I just now stepped outside to get the mail, and as I was turning around to shut the door, this nasty little creature scrambled his way past me! I jumped out of it's way (screaming) and watched him make a mad dash under our china cabinet. Little stinker acted like it knew right where it was going! Of course, he was so fast I couldn't take a picture, but after some research, this is what he looked like! Oh, why does stuff like this always happen to me??

I just read that these little things can make chirping sounds, and they can change colors to blend in with their environment! Oh great! This thing will never be caught! It will be here forever making noises in my house!
OH GROSS!

Mandy, growing up in Hawaii, we had those all the times. They're great for eating bugs and spiders. Just keep in mind that they are terrified of people, so don't be scared of them.

Geckos are your friends! :-)

We have those all around our house outside. I quit seeing them randomly in the house after we got Captain. Maybe your dog will get it. They do eat bugs, though. I still look in my bed everynight just in case one crawled up there. Not to scare you or anything!!

We have them in our house too!! I tried to catch one but only got close enough to put a cup on it until Monty got home... I did accidently kill a baby one too one day--- i was sans contacts or glasses and thought it was something else! oops

We have those everywhere out here and I have to agree with Andi - if they eat spiders and are scared of ME, then I consider them friends!

I have caught more than one in our house...they are very creepy! But, I felt really bad when I accidentally de-tailed one, therefore killing it, while trying to catch it. :( I hope you catch your little friend!
