Sunday was a very busy day in the Mills household. We started off the morning with our girl's dedication. I had always meant to have London dedicated when she was a baby but as with any new parent, I was overwhelmed and time just flew by. So, when Lily came along, I thought it would be sweet to have them dedicated to the Lord together as sisters. The little ceremony was...let's say...interesting. I knew that one of them would probably not cooperate. I thought it would be my independent, strong-willed, have it her way daughter, but instead it was Miss Lily who wanted no part of it. I think it all went wrong when we let her roam around, dance, and run free before the dedication. So, when it was time to be held and say a quiet prayer she had other ideas in mind. BUT London was absolutely precious. She stood so still, let Pastor Gary touch her shoulder, and she even closed her little eyes during the prayer. It was a memory that I will always have in mind of her. Here are some pictures of the morning.
Before the ceremony.
This is when Lily started to have some issues. She didn't want to be held, redirected, touched, or even looked at! She wanted things done HER way. My mom had her hands full.
The ceremony. This might be the only decent picture of all of us together.
My favorite picture. She just looks like a little angel to me.
That afternoon we headed to our favorite Mexican food restaurant--Chuy's. It hit the spot.

Later that evening, our Sunday school class had a Christmas party. We were to wear our tacky Christmas sweaters! My poor mom has a closet full of them. She's a teacher and teachers are just notorious for wearing those things--I should know! She let us borrow them. Yep, I said us. J is such a trooper. Isn't that vest just to die for??

Would this be a cute Christmas card or what??
We had a fabulous evening! It was nice to put aside all the shopping I need to do, the lists I need to make, the house I need to clean, and the Christmas cards I need to make. Instead we got to enjoy good food, good friends, and good conversation. Here are a few snap shots of the evening!

I'm so sad that I missed their dedication! I had to work in Joyland. I absolutely love the picture with London praying with Pastor Gary! We had a great time with you guys at the party! You looked awesome!!
It was so precious (and funny!) watching your dedication from the back. Your sweet girls are too cute! I think it's sweet that they were dedicated together.
As for the party pics...do we know yet, who won the contest? I think Jeff looked pretty smokin' in his outfit. LOL...
Uh! I hate that I missed your dedication. We were at a retreat meeting during church. I agree what an angel in the eyes closed picture, super sweet. Gary says the best prayers, certainly ones to remember
Knowing that London wasn't dedicated right away makes me feel so much better. I want K & H to be dedicated asap, but we're still trying to figure out how to get back to church since both services are during their nap times! Love the pics and love that the girls were dedicated together. p.s. I love Chuy's too! YUM!
Those are some great pics! And Mandy, you are looking super hot!
Congratulations to London and Lily! I remember Kate's baptism...it was one of the most special days in my life (and her's) :-). And you are looking like a hot momma! I love your dress. You guys are such a beautiful family.
