The girls and I spent some time in Oklahoma with my parents last week. We did some shopping, swimming, lots of playing, too much eating, and got some much needed relaxation. It was hard to come home and back to reality...
My parents garden. London was helping pick some cucumbers
and tomatoes!
Lily helped water the garden
and kissed all the garden accessories.
Her new Ariel doll. She won't do anything without it.
She loved the water gun!
We got to enjoy my parents new little "toy!" It was very relaxing. The girls loved all the lights, bubbles, and music that the hot tub played.
We got to pick our very own cantaloupes and watermelon!
Which one do you want??
Just swinging
We had some lunch and then Lily spotted "Baby Goober." This doll has been through quite a lot. I used to be terrified of it when I was little, but I also used to feel sorry for it. It has been colored on, bitten on, dragged around, and no telling what else. It has grown up with 4 rowdy children and now seems to be hanging on to play with the great grandchildren. Poor Baby Goober.
On the way home...
I like to think that sign was made just for me! :)
Welcome Home!

Looks like fun . . . and that last picture makes me miss Texas! :(
Mandy, some of my FONDEST childhood memories are picking vegetables from my grandparents' gardens. Grampa would take me fishing, but my "job" was first to go gather some tomatoes into a bushel, find a salt shaker and a sleeve of saltines. That was our lunch on our fishing trip. :-) It was awesome. To this day I can't eat a tomato or a saltine without thinking of him. So glad you see the importance of letting your girls create those memories to have once they're older.
