A dress

I have been wanting to put on my wedding dress. Call me crazy. I haven't worn it since July 14, 2001. I finally did. It was a Friday night. The girls were asleep and J was working late. I got it down and put it on. Trying it on brought back a flood of wonderful memories. Funny the things I do on Friday nights now.
A couple of days later, London wanted me to join her at her tea party and I was told in a firm voice, "Mom, you HAVE to dress up to come to this one." I thought this was a perfect opportunity to surprise her. So, I got back out the wedding dress, put it on, (have you ever put on your own wedding dress without any help? I do not recommend it.) and slowly made my way upstairs. I rounded the corner and the girls saw me. I wish I had my camera. Explaining the looks on their faces doesn't do it justice. Let's just say they were pleasantly surprised. We had our tea party and both girls just stared at me the whole time. It was hilarious!

While I was playing dress up with the girls, J was downstairs talking to the sprinkler guy. I wished I had enough guts to come waltzing down in my dress and casually ask J where my glass of wine was. Now, that would have been hilarious.
