We are crawling at a snail's pace but we are slowly making it to child placement. We got a letter in the mail a few weeks ago, telling us our home study had been approved. Now we are working on the international side of things. Really it's more paper work and more checks to write.
Last week, we went to get our finger prints. They mailed them off and we have a few other things to fill out and then it's child placement! We have officially crossed the year mark. I can't believe it's been a year. Some days it feels like it has been 10 and other days it feels like we just started.
We pray about our child every night as a family. London talks more about it and seems more excited. Lily had a break-through moment the other day. She had drawn a picture of our family at school. She was so happy to show me. She pulled it out of her backpack and began to tell me that she drew daddy, mommy, sissy, and herself. Then she stopped, stared at her picture and said, "Oh no! I forgot our brother or sister!!" It about broke my heart.
Now I just wonder how long child placement will be? 2 months? 2 years? We really have no idea. I keep putting my faith into the One above and know that it's HIS timing. We are just soooo ready.
