We have been busy around here! First off, J quit his job and started his new one yesterday. We are very thankful for this new opportunity and excited to see where this takes our family.
So, J and I have had a lot of time together. We have been taking the girls to school and then having our very own dates in the middle of the day. We went to see a movie last week.
We were meaning to see Argo but we got the time wrong and we ended up seeing Here Comes the Boom. Totally not my kind of movie but I did find myself laughing out loud and secretly enjoying it--but just a tad.
Last weekend, we went to the Fair!! J and I hadn't been in about 10 years. It was our first time as a family. London and Lily love to ride rides so they were in kid heaven.
London and J got to experience this one.
When London got off, she looked a little frazzled. She said her stomach dropped too many times.
So, we found the Merry-go-round. It was safer.
We had a greasy, fat filled, calorie packed lunch. We filled up on corn dogs, hamburgers, fries, and the cheesiest nachos ever. It was delicious.
After filling our bellies, our two little ladies went right back to the rides. They don't look too excited here but trust me---they were thrilled.
This is my worst night mare. A ride that goes in endless circles. London laughed and hooted the whole time. Lily was plastered against her seat with a frozen smile on her face.
A fun-house maze. We truly couldn't find our way out for awhile...
The crazy mirrors. My second night mare--seeing myself with an extra 20lbs...
Where's dad????
We made our way over to the animals. We ended up seeing a lamb show? I don't even know the right terminology here? London thought it was boring and Lily held her ears the whole time. She said she didn't like hearing the lambs. City girls.
The feeding area. It was crowded, hot, sticky, and smelled of manure. I almost vomit now just thinking about it.
The zebras were a hit!
???
We ended our fair experience with the gigantic ferris wheel. We loved looking down at Dallas.
See you next year!
RIP BIG TEX!
