"When I Graduate"

Lily had her sweet preschool graduation a few weeks ago. She was so excited about her special day. Way to go Lily pie!

Can you see her?

She walked on stage, grabbed her "diploma", got her sweet new Bible, and got a hug from her teacher.

After the ceremony, each graduate got a balloon...

Maria prayed over them...

and then they let their balloons go! I am not gonna lie--I did in fact shed a few tears.

Sweet hugs!

It was a sweet graduation ceremony and she is so ready for Kindergarten. It's a little confusing though--Lily isn't even 5 yet. She turns 5 at the end of August and after praying, thinking, evaluating, and some decision-making, we have decided to put her in private Kindergarten next year. She'll be going to a church that is super close to our house and attending the program there. When I met the teacher several months ago, I knew she would be perfect for Lily. She's been teaching for 20+ years and has a masters in early childhood education. The class size is small too. So, Lily will go there for a year and then the following year, she'll be going to the "big school" to complete public school Kindergarten. I have been looking at studies on this and it's amazing what an extra year will do to a kiddo who has such a late birthday. She'll be the oldest, have a year under her belt, more confident, and all around the best thing for her. Granted, she'll be the first to drive a car and she'll be toting all her friends around town but we'll cross that bridge when we get there...

Meanwhile, HAPPY GRADUATION DAY SWEET GIRL!
