The Month of June

This summer is slowly escaping me. I blame my lack of blogging on my iphone. I hardly every sit down at the computer anymore therefore I hardly every blog. But I don't want to stop so here it goes--my attempt to update.
The month of June seems like forever ago. Here were the highlights:

**London's Hip Hop Ballet Recital. She had one dance this year. There were about 80 performances. She was the second performance. It was a long long long evening. (I have the best family. They sat through all that and never complained.)

**Date Night with my red hair--at the time!

**VBS! This year I helped out with some of my sweet friends. We were the preschool craft room. I had so much fun working in that room and watching all those kiddos come to us to learn!
I got to teach Lily every day!

I would sneak away during the day to check on London. She had a fun time too and she learned so much about Paul.

Family Night-they got to show all the parents what they learned!

Amazing to see how many kids were there! Can you find London?

**Father's Day!! Celebrating a great man.

**Lots of bike riding--London can finally turn, stop, and start all by herself. I didn't think that kid would ever do it. She is so cautious and afraid to fall!!

**Swim lessons! We didn't do it with Ms Sherri this year and if I had to do it all over again--I would have. Our neighborhood invited the Y to one of our pools and it was just so convenient and the girls had their lessons at the same time! This will be London's last year of lessons. She did fabulous but we might just need one more year for Lily!

**We are also in the middle of leaving our church. We have been members of The Heights for 11 years. It is a great church and our dearest friends are all there. But I have been feeling "something" for awhile now. Something just wasn't feeling right and J was feeling it too. There were several things that led us to this point but a big one was London. When I grew up, I went to church with all my school friends. I really want that for my girls. London just didn't have a whole lot of friends. Her best friend at church had just moved and she just seemed so lonely. She never complained but I knew something needed to change. I really want her to go to church with her same school friends! So, with great hesitation we visited a church right down the street from us. I had heard nothing but amazing things about this church and it lived up to it's expectations. London walked right in her Sunday School class and immediately knew half the class. Lily was a little reluctant but warmed up faster than I thought she would, and the preacher was fabulous. He is bold, on-fire, and radical. He pushes you and challenges you. I was still so hesitant though. The Heights has just been a huge part of our lives. But as I was sitting listening to some announcements before church began one morning, we find out that this church has a huge adoption ministry. We are learning that they have many resources and many families who have and are adopting. That is what sold me. So, we are continuing to visit and we are going to be visiting some Sunday School classes soon. It's exciting, crazy, and nerve-racking all wrapped into one.
Sometimes following the Lord is so hard and difficult. But if you simply let go and follow--the results are beyond what you could have ever imagined.
