First day of school

London is a big bad 2nd grader this year! She had been ready for school to start since July. She has two teachers this year and she was placed in the advanced class. She also gets a report card this year!! I'm a little nervous about all these big changes! Her homeroom teacher, Mrs. Carter teaches math and science. She has her all morning and then she switches to Mrs. Smithson for reading and social studies. The morning of the first day of school, she woke up right when her alarm went off at 6:30, ate her breakfast, took care of Harley, got dressed, and off we went!

2nd grade!

We had to park about 2 miles away! I have never seen so many excited parents in once place!

Almost there!
Walking into her classroom! This is where I was told to put away the camera, and go. She walked in and found her locker. She put away her lunch and went to her desk to get to work. The kids were so quiet. You could hear a pin drop. Oh, the first day of school......

Next up was Lily!! We decided to put Lily in private Kindergarten this year. (Have I talked about this??) She was super excited too!

Lily's new school doesn't mess around. They informed the parents at Meet The Teacher that on the first day parents were NOT allowed to come inside on the first day! Car pool starts!!! I was secretly really sad!! I can't even go in??? Just on the first day???? But maybe it was for the best.
She looks a little nervous here but thanks to preschool, we already know how car pool works! She jumped out at her turn, waved bye, and was off.

I couldn't wait to pick them up that afternoon! I missed them and was super excited to see their faces! We stopped off and had a special treat and they talked my ear off--telling me all about their day and what they did. I'm so proud.
