A couple of weeks ago London came home with her first homework project from preschool. She needed to decorate a piece of construction paper with her favorite things. We were free to use whatever we wanted! So we headed to Hobby Lobby and searched around. London decided on stickers. There were a ton to choose from. She picked out some stickers of Dora, balloons, ice cream, a playground, a tricycle, dogs, flowers, January (her birthday month), and a popcorn sticker. (We have movie night on special weekends and she can eat popcorn and candy and then she even gets to sleep with us---her favorite thing ever!!) We came home and started our--I mean
HER project. The hardest thing was for me to
NOT take over. I desperately wanted to hide the stickers until she went to bed, then construct the whole thing myself. But I tried really really hard to back off and let her do it. I did do her name and the big stickers--those were going to be perfect because they cost me an arm and a leg!! The rest was up to her. She actually did good about placing the stickers and she really took her time. We had fun putting it all together, and I was very proud.
Starting the project--prehaircut pics!
The finished product!
