It's beginning to look a lot like....

Christmas!

A few days before Thanksgiving we started to put up all the Christmas decorations. J was off work for several days so we took advantage of it. I think we'll make it a tradition to put up Christmas decorations the week of Thanksgiving because when we got back to our house after spending time with family, it was wonderful to have the house decorated.
London was a big help this year. She loved looking at everything and helping us put it all up. This year she is fascinated with the presents under the tree. She loves getting them all out, playing with the beautiful bows that I worked so hard on, shaking them, and sorting them. It will be amazing if everyone gets the gift they are supposed to this year. Lily just loves doing whatever big sister is doing. She does try and sneak an ornament here and there. We tried strategically placing the nicer ornaments at the top of the tree but we did have one ornament fatality. We'll see how many more can make it this year.

London has her very own tree in her very own room this year.

See her sticker? That's a fine little gift she got at the doctor for having a temperature of 103.7 on Saturday. Fun times.

Now onto the family tree. We got a new tree this year and once it was up, I was so disappointed. It was too thin and it's slightly frosted which I just didn't like. But it's growing on me. I spent 2 hours on that thing trying to make it thick and pretty. I finally got it looking really good and now I LOVE it. My arms and hands paid a big price for that tree though.

Do you see what London is holding? Yeah, that's Rudolph. She was beyond ecstatic to see him being pulled from the dusty Christmas boxes. Last year London carried him around and loved on that little reindeer during the whole month of December. I thought she might have outgrown him. No such luck.

We got the stockings up too! Yes, that is Bailey's old stocking hanging on the stairs. I guess I have a little bit of denial going on.

Last but not least---the cookies! J and London baked some delicious sugar cookies with white icing and sprinkles.

I love how London is patiently waiting for J to finish icing the cookies. As soon as he was done though, she grabbed one and ate the whole thing in one huge bite. Why can't she do that with broccoli?
