"Garage Sale! Lots of Baby Items!"

That is what our little sign said sitting on the corner of the road and it seemed to work because it brought in all kinds of people. But I actually hate garage sales. I hate getting ready for them and all the work that goes into having one. I despise:
*all those clothes, toys, shoes, and random stuff you have to pull down from the hot, sticky attic
*all those little price tags that never seem to stay on
*all those "discussions" with your spouse about how much to price things
*getting up extra early on a Saturday morning to put everything out
*dealing with the people who try and talk you down from an already marked down price of $3.00.
Yeah, garage sales can be a beating. BUT when you have an adorable daughter who is so excited to have her first lemonade stand and another little daughter who runs around greeting everyone, playing with all her old toys like it's Christmas time--well, then somehow it makes it all worth it. Oh and the fact that we made $325.50!

She was so excited to set it all up!

Business was slow but I think it taught her a little bit about patience!

A very happy customer who kept coming back for more!

It was hard selling these toys--so many memories...

All the clothes...

This picture just has "garage sale" written all over it!

I sold so many baby shoes! One lady bought 7 pairs!
I didn't sell the bird cage though. I was secretly happy.
Thank you all you garage sell shoppers. You put some more money in our Christmas envelope. Dave Ramsey would be proud!

I, on the other hand, make Dave Ramsey a nervous wreck. And I'll take that red quilt if you didn't sell it...

So, um, does the ridding of all the baby things mean no more babies??? :-)
