Happy Happy Birthday

We had our Happy Birthday Party a few days ago. It's so easy to get swept away with all the presents, shopping, toys, wrapping, Santa, and the hustle and bustle of Christmas. So we took some time out last week to have a special celebration!
I
J and London made a special strawberry cake...

and when Lily woke up from her nap, she joined in.

J can cook. He's really good at meats, veggies, and coming up with new things to cook. He's a grilling machine. BUT he cannot bake. Something always goes awry. This time he said he ran out of icing?? Not sure how it happened?? Bless his heart...

After dinner we lit the candles and said a prayer thanking the Lord for His Son.

They each got to open a present...

Snuggies!!

Enjoying the strawberry not-enough-icing-to-cover-the-edges cake...

So, that was our Happy Birthday Party for Jesus. I know it may sound a little strange to some but Christmas is about the birth of our Savior. It's about taking time out of our busy schedules and give thanks to Him. I have so much to be thankful for. I pray that you had a wonderful Christmas and that the Lord blesses you and your family!
