London didn't want to continue gymnastics anymore. I was secretly very sad. I LOVE gymnastics and I hope she wants to take lessons again. But she has been begging me to get her signed up for ballet and tap. So, I did. It started about a month ago and so far she really likes it. We go every Monday after school. She is always dead tired after school but on Monday's she is ready to go. The ballet studio is really cute and is full of young, hip college girls who are ready to teach our daughters how to be graceful ballerinas. The parents sit in the waiting area and we get to watch the girls on TV. There is no sound but you can watch them tap, twirl, point, and dance around the floor. It's so sweet. I sit out with the other mom's and it feels like I'm on an episode of the Desperate House Wives of Wylie Texas. These mom's have high expectations of their little girls and swear that their daughter is the best...at everything. With their fancy hand bags and expensive clothes, they talk about shopping, parenting, and how smart their daughter is. It's a hoot. I bring a book to read but sometimes get sucked into their silly conversations. One mom informed us all that her daughter, who is 5, still sleeps in the bed right in the middle of her and her husband. Every.single.night. She said she has to be close to her daughter and that they are best friends. She claims it's healthy and natural and can't understand why more people don't do this. We just stared at her.
But London seems to be loving it and is becoming a good little ballerina. We'll see how long I can last!
