J had a conference in Palm Springs about a week ago and I got to tag along. He spent 4 days in classes, meetings, on the phone, and on the computer while I slept in, laid by the pool--literally all day, and sipped on fruity drinks. It was fabulous. Our girls were safe and sound with my parents and I got to truly relax.
Heading to the airport!
It was my first time to fly Virgin. Holy smokes. It was amazing. The flight attendants actually acted like they enjoyed their jobs. They were friendly, funny, loud, and so fun! Everyone had their own touch screen computer/TV. You order movies, food, snacks, and drinks and they bring everything right to you. So cool!
He looks tipsy here but I promise he's not...I had to post this pic because when we got on the plane, it felt just like going to a club!
I could have flown for a really long time. It was that good.
But we landed, got in our rental car, and took the long ride to Palm Springs. Actually, we were right outside of Palm Springs in Indian Wells. LA traffic is terrible. I had no idea. Traffic in Dallas is pretty bad but nothing compared to LA. The weather there is perfect. A cool, warm 78 when we arrived. I guess that is why everyone lives there??
Plus, the view is beautiful too...
We passed a huge wind farm on the way.
When we arrived, the temperature had gone up to 103. It was super hot!
Our hotel
Once we got there, we got to hang out for the evening before all the "work" started for J.
We sat here!! Isn't it so nice?
The next morning I went to the spa and got a facial. After that I had lunch--all alone, read my book, and laid by the pool. It was so nice getting alone time during the day, and then I got to hang out with J at night.
This was our view from the balcony. If I played golf, I would have totally been playing the whole time....
It was a perfect little get-away! We are actually heading back to CA with the girls in a few weeks! It will be their first plane ride. They are beyond excited and beg me everyday if they can pack.
We can't wait!!

What a fun, relaxing trip! I'm a little jealous after looking at those pictures!
LOVE Palm Springs!!! So glad you got to experience it. We frequently visit as it's a 4 hour drive for us. Wish I knew you where there, I may have come to meet you!
