Chair covers

J and I (okay, really just J--I think he was a interior decorator in his previous life!) covered our chairs. They were disgusting. The juice stains and food smudges just had to go. Now, they look like normal chairs again. But I don't want this to happen anymore. London still sits in her little chair and before I know it, Lily will be sitting in a booster chair too! I want to cover the chairs that the girls sit in, but I don't know how? I want chair covers that look good but still do the job. Any suggestions???

Sometimes you can find really cute indoor/outdoor fabric at Hancock's or other fabric stores. It's super durable and can be sponged off a million times but still soft enough to sit on. It's like what patio furniture would be covered in...

You could try oilcloth, they make it in really cute patterns now. You wouldn't have to cover the whole seat just make a tie on seat cover (like an apron) for the girls chairs.

We covered ours in clear plastic. Yes, it takes down the class factor a notch, but it makes life soooo much easier. And we can rip it off whenever we want.
