Lily and I ventured out to the Butterfly Garden at the mall last week. I didn't know if it would be any good or not so my expectations were low. We paid our money, got our Q-tip dipped in Gatorade, and made our way into the garden. It was amazing. Lily and I both were mesmerized by all the beautiful butterflies. They were everywhere. It truly was quite a site.
You just find one, and lift them onto the Q-tip. Who knew butterflies love Gatorade??
I love this lady's face as she is informing this man that he's covered with butterflies!
They LOVED her bow!
The whole time we were there, I kept thinking about poor London and how she should be there with us! She was in the middle of a butterfly unit at school and she is obsessed with them right now. So, Lily and I had lunch at Chick-Fil-A, went home to rest, picked up London from school and made our way BACK to the garden. London just had to see how cool it was! The nice man remembered Lily and I from earlier, so thankfully we didn't have to pay again. I was so glad London got to experience it!
The face says it all...
All I can think about is the man in background--who can take him seriously with a butterfly on the side of his head??
It was crazy how you would look down at yourself and you would be covered with them!
We would have stayed a little longer but I noticed an old man with a fancy camera taking pictures. I assumed he was taking pictures of the butterflies but soon saw him taking pictures of London. Not just one picture either---many. I gave him a dirty look, grabbed London, and walked out with me shooting him mean looks. I watched him for awhile. He took a few more pictures then walked back over to his wife who was waiting in a wheel chair for him. I still think he was weird or maybe I've watched too many episodes of Law and Order--either way, we did have a great time and I'm glad both girls got to experience it!
Of course I took way too many photos so if you are bored here are few more....
