My baby turned 4. I still cannot believe it. 4. Wow.
But we had a fabulous weekend celebrating! She wanted to have a pool party so we had the party at The Texas Pool. I have lived in Texas now for 12 years and have never been to this pool. I have no idea why! It was so fun!
First off, the weather on Saturday was spectacular! It was overcast and the high was in the 80's. Unheard of for August. Perfect swimming weather. We got there early, set up, and our friends and family started to show up. The Texas Pool does not allow you to rent it out but surprisingly we had the ENTIRE pool to ourselves for the ENTIRE party!!
On the way to celebrate with this special little lady!
Our first friends to show up!! Love us some Carol and Chloe!
So much to do! The diving board and slides were huge hits!

Oh, the birthday cake. Poor Barbie.
When I picked up the cake, the ladies were just thrilled to show it off for me. They said they had been looking at it all day and were so excited to show us! I was excited to see it. I thought it would be a little difficult drawing a Barbie but their excitement led me to believe I was about to see the best Barbie cake. Ever.
Have you ever been somewhere and been put in a situation where you just know without a shadow of a doubt that you are indeed on some sort of candid camera show? I could have sworn that was happening to me. When the excited cake ladies showed me the cake, I felt just that. I looked at Barbie and thought, WHAT IN THE WORLD? She doesn't look like Barbie at all! What is wrong with her??? I looked at London and Lily and they were staring at her wide-eyed with huge grins. They thought she was beautiful.
I knew with our crowd, I would get all kinds of remarks on our poor Barbie.
She became: Hang-over Barbie, Up-Too-Long-Last-Night Barbie, Hooker Barbie, Drunk Barbie, and a few more I can't put in this G-rated blog. But I think you get the point...
How many people does it take to light a Birthday cake? I didn't think we were ever going to get it going!
Blowing out her candles.
After the party, I asked Lily what her favorite thing was about her birthday and she said,
"Blowing out my candles on my pretty cake."
My Sister and Uncle Chris
We had to get home right away and open up all her presents! This is one spoiled little girl.
The next morning we got up and got ready for church.
Sunday was her actual birthday!
Our big girl!
Model pose!
Happy Girl!
We love this little girl more than we could ever explain. She's our little sweet heart.
She makes my heart smile and my soul sing.
Happy Birthday Lily Pie!
