Our summer has been jam-packed. I can hardly find time to breath. But we did make time for our big summer family vacation. We decided we would let the girls fly for the first time and head out to beautiful California! We had a few things planned while we were there...
Here they are ready to go!
When we got to the airport, they were fascinated with everything. They wanted to sit and just watch the big planes.
They were so patient and were the best little travel sisters. We flew Virgin. Hands down the best air line. The girls watched TV, played computer games, and snacked the entire time. It was a smooth flight and they did fantastic! Once we landed, we got in our rental and headed to our hotel. We stayed at Manhattan Beach. We had pizza by the ocean and explored the beautiful outdoors.
I do not know why we don't live by the beach in CA. The weather is cool and the ocean is spectacular. I'm tempted to relocate....
We headed to our hotel and got some sleep. We woke up early, had a quick breakfast and went to Knotts Berry Farm. Have you been? If not, plan a family vacation to go there right now!
The weather was cloudy and in the low 80's. There were a lot of kid camps there. We did ride some rides though. It amazed me how fearless these two little prissy princesses were.
Ha!
At one point, we divided up. London was begging to ride a roller coaster and Lily wanted to ride something else. London would have rode a lot more but she was just too short. (Huh, wonder who she got that from?) So, while London and J found something she could ride, Lily begged to get on this thing...
I thought she would cry and want to get off but she hung in there. The ride went up and down real fast. It hurt my stomach just watching it.
This is where London was at! I caught them right before it began!
She rode this crazy thing and wanted to do it again!!!!!!
We walked around, rode more rides, had lunch, bought some souvenirs, and ended our day with a funnel cake--I could eat these things any time, any day, any where.
My beautiful angels.
We then drove Palm Desert!! More to come on that....
